Insurance Age Intemediary of the Year 2004
This is the sixth major award in two years for us. Handing the award to Bollington, Colin Holder of AXA Insurance said that the Insurance Age judging panel found Bollington hard to beat due to its "high degree of professionalism, focus and forward thinking approach."
Above all, the award is recognition of the hard work that everyone has put in over the last few years. We were judged on our results and not the quality of the submission; and it's not just our growth, it's the quality of our service, claims and strategic focus.
45th fastest growing company
In December, Bollington won a place in The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. Bollington saw our sales increase almost seven fold in just three years and were just one of four companies from the Northwest to make the top fifty. Being one of the top 50 fastest growing companies is excellent news but Bollington won't sit back admiring what we have achieved. We continue to develop in many other areas including risk-assessment consultancy.
North West Training Awards
In 2003 Bollington won the North West Training Award for our training and development strategy. Our management development programme was a group wide training initiative involving everything from sales and IT to client service training.
The programme was viewed by the National Training Council as a benchmark for highly innovative and supportive training.

When Bollington first entered the Children's care home sector, premiums had gone up 3000% on average in just 3 years. It found insurance unwilling to renew insurance policies to what they thought were high risk clients.
Bollington worked closely with the children's care bodies and social services and discovered that far from being high risk, the care homes were tightly regulated and had a very low claims record.
Bollington set about educating insurers on its findings and helping care homes with their risk management. As a result, more a more underwriters entered the market, premiums fell by 30% and Bollington attracted the business of over 30% of children's care homes.
