Bollington hires Motor Trade Account Manager to boost business in Scotland

Gary Ferguson

Gary Ferguson has joined Bollington Insurance in the role of Motor Trade Account Manager, serving businesses across Scotland from his base in Bo’ness, West Lothian.

Ferguson brings a wealth of experience to Bollington, having worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years. Arriving at Bollington from TL Dallas in Falkirk, he spent 14 years in commercial Insurance at AXA and 10 years at General Accident, with spells at Marsh and Clydesdale Bank also part of his impressive employment portfolio.

53-year-old Ferguson has family ties to central Scotland (with 2 children attending universities in the region), but will be covering the whole of the country – from Aberdeen and the Highlands in the north down to Dumfries in the south – to serve Bollington’s growing motor trade customer base north of the border.

Pauline Brookes, Commercial Development Manager for Bollington’s motor trade account managed business, commented, “It is great to get Gary on board with Bollington as we look to further expand our service offering in Scotland. His wide ranging experience in commercial motor insurance will prove extremely useful in delivering a high quality account-managed service to the region.

“This appointment demonstrates our commitment to ensuring strong growth in Scotland and making sure that our clients receive a highly professional and personal service, no matter where they happen to be located in the UK.”

Ferguson's arrival follows hot on the heels of recent recruit Jim Knight, who will be providing a motor trade account management service to clients in the South East of England, illustrating Bollington's UK-wide account management coverage.
