To grow commercial motor business with key new appointment

20th January 2014 (London, UK): Bollington Insurance Brokers Limited has recruited Paul Hughes as Director of Direct Sales.

Paul joins Bollington from Direct Line Group, where he worked for the best part of two decades in a variety of roles and divisions, primarily supporting the customer contact function of the business.

Bollington are looking to further expand their very well established and renowned motor trade division, increasing their foothold in the commercial vehicle insurance marketplace and offering existing clients a greater choice of products through a wider panel of insurers.

Paul’s substantial understanding of the management and training of staff, in conjunction with his superior knowledge of the Direct Sales marketplace, will lead to a change in customer focus within Commercial Motor.

Paul was a Regional Manager for Direct Line for 13 years, overseeing operations at four different sites, with responsibility for the Churchill, Direct Line, Privilege and Tesco Insurance brands. He was also responsible for Direct Line’s Teeside Contact Centre, managing over 500 consultants and more than 50 team leaders during his spell as Centre Manager.

Paul Hughes said, “There is a great opportunity here at Bollington to further enhance the customer experience. We have a number of talented and dedicated staff, and I will look to support and encourage them in identifying relevant additional products to support our clients’ needs.”
