Bollington CEO smashes £1,500 charity target

Congratulations to our CEO Paul Moors on smashing the £1,500 fundraising target required to get 'bail' in the 'Lock Up Your Boss' charity event, in aid of The Christie.

On Thursday, 6th March, Paul was 'sentenced' and spent a morning in the cells at Manchester Police Museum. He needed to raise a minimum of £1,500 to escape but in the event, he need not have worried, as generous donations took his total fundraising to over £2,000, allowing Paul to be the first 'inmate' to taste freedom once more.

'Lock Up Your Boss' - organised by President of the Insurance Institute of Manchester, Barry Thompson - proved to be a very successful event, raising several thousand pounds towards the overall £150,000 target required to build a new high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room at The Christie. Forming part of the Young Oncology Unit, teenagers and young adults under cancer treatment will be able to stay in a safe environment and an extra bed will be provided for a family member to stay with them.

Big thanks to everybody who sponsored and supported Paul in raising money towards this very worthy cause. The current total stands at a very respectable £2,830 - but if you haven't donated already, it's not too late to do so!

Paul's JustGiving page is still open and accepting donations - visit http://www.justgiving.com/Paul-Moors to contribute.
