Work is due to begin on a car dealership in Lincolnshire, which is receiving a £2 million makeover.
The renovation work at the JCT600 Audi dealership on Doddington Road will include an extension to the existing showroom and customer areas, which will see the site double in size. The project will also create a service lounge on the first floor as well as two additional vehicle handover areas.
For any business looking to make alterations to their own site, however drastic, it is important to consider how it might impact on their motor trade insurance. When changing a site or including new features on the premises, a company must ensure their insurance policy still provides adequate cover – speaking to expert brokers such as Bollington should be the first port of call when obtaining or amending any such policy.
According to the Lincolnshire Echo, the Audi dealership has invested in the latest multi media integration with interactive screens, allowing customers to browse the different cars for sale and make their own customisations.
The property director Mark Taylor commented: "This is a huge project which will transform our Lincoln dealership, bringing it in line with Audi's newest, state-of-the-art showroom design.
"The refurbishment promises to enhance customers' visits with many additional facilities as well as completely refreshing the showroom internally and externally."
The business will remain open while the renovation works are carried out, with the new site expected to be completed by spring 2016.
