Used car 'super centre' opens for business

An independently-owned motor dealer group has opened a ‘super centre’ for sales of used cars.

Wessex Garages is offering a mixture of Nissan and other brands at the new outlet in Bristol. The company also sells new and used cars at other sites in the city, as well as other parts of the South West and South Wales including Cardiff, Newport and Gloucester.

When growing a business, you should never overlook your insurance needs. The right level of motor trade insurance is key to ensuring both you and your customers are properly safeguarded and that you are properly covered for the volume and type of vehicles in stock at any one time.

Wessex Garages’ new dealership is aiming to win a bigger slice of the used car and fleet motors market. Half of the vehicles in stock will be Nissans and the others will be selected from different brands, some of which are not currently sold by other dealerships in the group.

General manager, Terry Thurgood, told Car Dealer Magazine that the new centre would bridge the gap between auctions to main dealers and large used car centres.

He said: “We will be able to offer our customers the largest selection of used Nissans in the South West.

“People who visit the super centre will have plenty of choice when searching for a quality used car. They will be shopping with a reputable brand with more than 29 years’ experience in the used car industry. We will continue to offer incredible service and offer customers competitive prices.”

The used car super centre will check all pre-owned vehicles for issues and repair any problems on site before offering the car or van for sale. It has also put a background check system in place, as part of an extra level of protection for customers.
