Last Friday, Insurance Times reported that the FCA is investigating AccessBI – a specialist underwriting agency – and has frozen its client accounts until the completion of the investigation. This is significant news for a large number of care insurance clients, who – through no fault of their own – could now find themselves without insurance cover.
If your broker used AccessBI to place your care insurance policy, you currently may not be insured through them and if so, will need to arrange alternative insurance cover immediately. We suggest that you contact your insurance provider urgently to discuss your current situation.
You will need to check any policies – including employers’ liability certificates – that have been placed through AccessBI.
