New online sales centre secures sale two minutes after opening

A car dealership has seen immediate results after launching a new online sales centre with a purchase coming through in just two minutes.

The Motorpoint car supermarket in Birmingham opened a new site off its existing branch to deal exclusively with customers who have bought a vehicle over the internet. Having opened at 8am at the start of this week a sale was confirmed at the 2,000 square foot state-of-the-art premises within 120 seconds.

The dealership's decision illustrates people’s desire to use the web to procure new products and services, and the same is true when it comes to motor trade insurance. Many individuals or businesses take to the internet to obtain an online road risks insurance quote or an online combined motor trade insurance quote because of its speed and convenience, although it is always advisable that this is followed up with direct contact with expert brokers to ensure the customer gets the best deal on a policy that is right for them.

Motorpoint currently sells more than 1,000 cars a month via its website, which receives over 700,000 unique visitors every month.

Jon Baird, general manager of Motorpoint Online Sales, explained: “The continued success of our online sales division over the past decade has meant that we have outgrown our existing premises.

“This has been the driver behind our decision to invest in a second online sales centre on our site in Birmingham to ensure we have sufficient resources to meet the ever-increasing demand from people looking to buy their next car from Motorpoint online.”
